Theatre
The Blue Box Theatre is an air conditioned performance space equipped with professional ‘State of the Art’ lighting, sound and AV systems. When set up ‘end on’, the retractable tiered seating accommodates 219, although it will also facilitate in the round, traverse and alternative seating arrangements. As a multi purpose theatre it regularly houses professional theatre companies and is a key venue within the local community for Drama, Music and Dance Productions. This unique facility is also an ideal venue for large scale conferences and meetings.
Dressing Rooms
The Blue Box Theatre boasts three large dressing rooms, each of which can be divided into two. These spaces also make ideal conference breakout rooms, or drama rehearsal rooms. They can accommodate up to 30 people in each room.
Box Office and Front of House Services
The ‘Blue Box’ provides full Box Office and Front of House support for visiting companies, including advance and on the door ticket reservations, ushers and security.
Technical Support
Full technical support is available for events at the ‘Blue Box’ by its team of dedicated technicians. [More Info...]
Rehearsal Rooms
Several rehearsal rooms are available to hire. These include Drama Space, Music Rooms and a Dance Studio.
Parking
There are 120 secure car parking spaces including five allocated disabled spaces adjacent to the main entrance
